Counsify is an AI counselor for California community college students, piloting at Saddleback College. Students ask SADIE about classes, majors, and transfer, and her answers cite the catalog page. Then they build a transfer plan from the ASSIST articulation agreement your college holds with their school, for their major, and print it as a draft for you to confirm.
Counsify helps students before the appointment, so they walk in prepared and confident instead of starting from zero. It does not replace real counseling.

Built around your college’s real transfer pathways, not generic answers.
- Ask anytime. SADIE answers at 2am as well as at 2pm, and she knows the student’s plan and whatever they chose to share, so the answer fits them and not a generic student.
- Answers you can check. When an answer rests on a source, it carries a chip naming the document and the page: the catalog, an articulation agreement, or the statewide UC and CSU transfer rules.
- The agreement for their major. 3,157 ASSIST articulation agreements across every UC and CSU campus, read in chat and used to build the plan.
- A plan builder that knows prerequisites. Pick the school and the major, answer one requirement at a time, and the builder arranges the semesters with prerequisites first. Every course is the student’s choice. The AI never edits a plan.
- Where they stand on Cal-GETC. From the courses a student has finished, the plan shows which general education areas are covered and which are still open.
- Course numbers, old and new. Common Course Numbering renamed courses this year. MATH 3A and MATH C2210 are the same course to SADIE, and to the agreements.
- Made to print. The plan prints on paper, marked as a draft for a counselor to confirm, with every course carrying its units and the catalog years it came from.
- Data with rules. The minimum is collected, nothing trains a model, and a student can delete their account in three taps. The profile is for students 18 and over.
What a college gets

Counsify is not one generic assistant pointed at every school in California. Each college that comes on gets its own counselor, with its own name and its own voice, and its own catalog and agreements behind it.
Nothing to integrate. Students sign in with email or Google. Every source is a public document: the catalog, the ASSIST agreements, the Cal-GETC standard. Your systems stay where they are.

The rules, in plain words.
- The minimum, collected on purpose. An email address, a date of birth, and what a student chooses to share. Several categories of sensitive information are never collected, and the app gives a student no way to hand them over by accident.
- Nothing is sold, and nothing trains a model. No ads. Our agreement with our AI provider has model training turned off.
- The college sees plans, and only through the lookup. Never a student’s conversations with SADIE, never their profile.
- Students own the delete. A student can delete their account in three taps, and the information is actually deleted.
- Profiles are for students 18 and over. Younger students still get SADIE and the plan builder. The profile that remembers what they share waits until they are 18.
- Independent, and it says so. Counsify is not an official service of any college or district. Every printed plan carries that sentence, and so does every page on this site.

Published sources, read the same way every time.
The catalog, page by page. The ASSIST articulation agreements, one per major, 3,157 of them for Saddleback. The Cal-GETC areas, with the college’s approved courses attached to each one. The statewide UC and CSU transfer material. Requirements are parsed by a pipeline that is not a language model, so the same published requirements always produce the same requirement tree. AI explains and answers. It never invents a requirement, and it never edits a plan.
